Is it necessary to book?
We suggest you to book but if there is availability, we will be pleased to offer you accommodation without a reservation.
What does prices include?
The price includes the bedroom, the breakfast, the use of common spaces, the linen and weekly cleaning. When booking you can request the use of the kitchen to prepare your meals.
Are credit cards accepted?
Unfortunately no, but there is an automatic cash dispenser not far from the house.
What are the check in and check out times?
Guests can check in from 4 pm until 6 pm and check out by 12 o’clock. When booking and if agreed, these times can be changed.
When will you confirm my reservation?
Within 24 hours we will e-mail or phone you to confirm the reservation; therefore please don’t forget to leave your contact details!
How can I confirm or delete my reservation?
You have to put down a percentage of the total cost to confirm the reservation. If you cancel your reservation within a week from your arrival this amount of money will be withheld. If you cancel your stay at any time before this, your deposit will be refunded.
Is the Bed & Breakfast opened all the year long?

Where is the house exactly?
We are in via del Mangano, one of the most ancient streets of the village: when you reach Coreglia continue along Manara Valgimigli street, going round the village. The road finishes in the “le Prada” car park where you must leave your car. You enter the village through Porta San Michele. Turn right, climb the slope that leads to the bell tower and on your left you will find via del Mangano: walk along it, past the Museum, almost to the end and you will find Casa Mercedes on your right.
Is it possible to get a taxi from/to the airport?

You can rent a car at Pisa/Florence airport or in the vicinity of Lucca, Viareggio, Florence and Pisa railway stations.
Where can I park my car?
It is not possible to drive in the narrow roads of the village but the house has a private parking area close to the house that can be used for short stops. There is a larger car park within walking distance.
Which is the nearest railway station?
The nearest railway station is Ghivizzano-Coreglia, it is about 8 km from the house.
Which is the nearest airport?
Pisa and Florence are the nearest airports, they are 70 km and 106 km from Coreglia.
Which languages are spoken?
We speak English and French.
Can I bring my pet with me?
Unfortunately no, animals are not allowed.
Are there supermarkets or shops?
Within easy walking distance there is a minimarket, a butcher, the newsagent’s, the chemist, bars and restaurants. In the valley you can find several supermarkets, typical products’ shop and a hypermarket all within 10 kilometers.
Are there banks or the post office in the village?
Close to the Bed and Breakfast there is a bank (Monte dei Paschi di Siena) and a cash dispenser and a little further on there is the post office.
Is it possible to connect to internet?
At the moment we don’t have an internet connection in the house but in the nearby towns of Barga and Bagni di Lucca you can find several internet points at reasonable prices.
What will I find in the house?
In the house you will find all you need for a comfortable stay: bed and bathroom linen and a supply of basics ingredients such as sugar, oil, salt, pepper, vinegar and spices; in winter you will find wood for the fireplace; books and films; informative material on the area; we are at your disposal to try to satisfy your requests.
What can I do during the day?
Coreglia is a good starting point for excursions and hikes: you can go to the mountains or to the sea or to the several Tuscan cities famous for their art and architecture. In the house you will find information on what to visit in the area. If you prefer to relax in the tranquility of the house, there are books and the television.
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Typical Italian breakfast with local natural ingredients such as toast and jam, cereals, tea, milk and coffee. If you need something particular for your diet, please ask for it
At what time is the breakfast?
Breakfast will be served between 8 am and 10 am, although it is possible to change these times.
Can I rent a bike?
In the B&B you will find mountain bikes at your disposal for
10€ per day
Are there games for children?
There is a park in the village but also the streets, being closed to traffic, are suitable for children’s games; in the house you will find a ball, a skipping rope and other games for your children.
On which floor are the bedrooms?
All the bedrooms are on the second floor.
What is the climate like in Coreglia?
We have a typical Appenninic climate, with hot but windy summers and cold winters sometimes with snow.
